Water-cooled chillers, also known as water-cooled cabinet-type industrial chillers, are industrial refrigeration equipment centered on water-cooled heat exchange, serving as core components of mechanical refrigeration systems. They are primarily used in medical, food, chemical, and machining industries, with expanding applications in emerging scenarios such as high-power-density data centers and battery workshops [2-3].
This equipment employs shell-and-tube evaporators and hydrophilic light-fin condensers, featuring stainless steel insulated water tanks. The refrigerant can optionally use the environmentally friendly R407C. The units comply with the GB19577-2004 energy efficiency standard, categorized into three energy efficiency levels based on cooling capacity. The coefficient of performance (COP) test values under nominal conditions must meet specified limits [1]. The new unit incorporates magnetic levitation variable-frequency centrifugal technology, achieving a suspension precision of 0.5 microns. It features an IP67 protection rating and ice storage cooling mode, delivering a 30%-40% improvement in overall energy efficiency compared to traditional models [2]. Installation requires a 380V power supply and cooling tower. The system includes a chilled water tank, pumps, and piping insulation design. Selection must account for the impact of temperature differentials on water flow rate.
